Lap Band Slipped/ Removed

When I had my band removed they didn't give much direction either.  I was told before with other surgeries not driving while on pain meds.  I wasn't taken any as I wasn't given any.  But, I avoided driving the first week just in case I got a stitch or something and stomped on the gas or brake.

Yes pretty much no direction it was shocking. I see that you did have your band for four months before having the sleeve done. How were your eating habits. Did you get your same appetite back prior to having the band removed.

Hi Demi!  It was 4.5 months before getting the sleeve after getting the band removed.  At first I was upset I had to wait but, than I started to notice that every one that had complications here had the conversion in one surgery.  My recover from the sleeve was easy!  No issues what so ever.

I didn't have problems the first month as I still had some restriction.  The band does some permanent deforming of the stomach even with out problems.  It was the same as having the band in and unfilled.  I gained a few pounds the first three months and was happy with my effort.

Than I went on a three week cruise with my old appetite, yes it came back by the second month and was worse than I can every remember, free alcohol once or twice a day and so much food.  I came home to Christmas and New Year and a ~30 pound gain.  I went on Atkins New Years Day and then started the Pre-op diet a week later.  Four weeks after the Sleeve I was down the 30 pounds and to the lowest I ever got with the band. 

It has come to a stop but, I always hear revisions are slower losers than virgin WLS.  I'm  Six weeks out and am anxiously waiting to see if I can break thru this set point.  The only other time was my divorce 18 years ago.  Other than that I haven't been below 205 since giving birth to my 2nd DD in 1981.

This may be more than you wanted to hear.  If Not and you have questions just ask away.  Did you join the sleeve to band group?  It is a goo place to ask this stuff as other may want to know and not like to post.
