Count me in.

I'm sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. I have been lurking, and having to bite my tongue because I don't want to give anyone the satisfaction of seeing me lose my temper. I'm too tired of the WLS wars to get involved in another one, and no newbie or lurker is going to ask questions or hang around this forum for very long when the terrain here is a minefield.

Glad to hear from you Jean.  It's really to bad this environment has been such that people are afraid to post.  I think you, and all the other vets, bring a lot to this forum.  Please stick around!

Speaking for myself, I don't post as much because . . .

- I am tired of having people who have bugs up their butts about me making some insulting, inane or generally useless comment. I understand that not everyone's band experience is a good one, but some people cannot allow those of us who are successful to enjoy our success.

- I'm tired of hearing "Yeah, well your band is going to fail, too, since they ALL fail eventually, and hahaha when it does."

- I'm tired of seeing newbies attacked when they have clearly made what they believe is an informed decision about their surgery.

- I'm tired of hearing "YOU NEED A REVISION!!!!!!!" whenever anyone has even the slightest bump in the road.

- I'm tired of people who block their profile (or don't even have one), have no photo and make NO information about themselves available commentlng on MY experience.

- I'm tired of people who cause a whole lot of ****  switching use names every couple of months thinking we don't know who they are.

I keep trying to come back on and help people, but it gets to be an exhausting exercise in futility.

This board is not as welcoming as it could be to those who have bad band experiences. And until there's a paradigm shift, this board will probably continue to be sluggish. People who are in extreme pain really do need a lot of compassion. I see some here and there, but not enough that the board would be known for it.

Rehashing all the past drama doesn't do a thing to move anything forward... and I'm guilty of doing this myself. There are just certain people with whom you cannot mesh well. It's the nature of the internet message board. There's something about the "energy" of this forum that's just not quite right for constructive discourse in recent months.  But I don't think it HAS to be that way.  It probably will just take a little time to pick up again.

Hi All!

Since you asked no nicely vlp I'll do my best to come back regularly and post.  I'm a 4 year vet that used to post a lot but stopped when the negativity got to where I would dread logging on.  I miss the NSV's, posting of before and after pics, recipe ideas, etc.  I'm struggling right now and could use some motivation.  I hope I can find it here like I used to.  I NEVER would have lost 100+ lbs without this site back in the day!

Thank you for trying to rally the troops!
