Does anyone have 0CCs in their Band?

Hey guys big fan of the site, I've been a lurker :)

Saturday is my 2 year Bandiversary! (Shoutout to BubblesRN)

I have had 2 CCs in my band from 2 weeks after my surgery until today and I have lost 130 pounds. But over the past month I have not been able to eat anything so I went today and got completely unfilled and I plan to keep it that way for a while.

Does anyone else have 0CCs or 1CC? Just curious as to what you're able to eat as opposed to when you had a few CCs in.

Congrats on your success! Great job.

After allowing the swelling to go down inside you should be fine. Sometimes it is like you still have restriction. If it doesn't clear up after a time they will investigate further. We have people on here that have never gotten a fill and are fine. Others find that they are starving. It is up to your body. When I was unfilled I was not hungry, though I never had over 3cc in mine anyway. Unfortunately, the inability to eat anything solid did not correct itself for me. Don't worry, that isn't the norm. Take it easy, stick to liquids yet today then transition to mushies tomorrow and the next day. Don't pu**** since you are still swollen. I learned from the PA that it isn't our bands that get too tight it is that the tissues surrounding it swell up from irritation or many other reasons. With that in mind, give yourself time.

My band has been empty for nearly 2 yrs. I only lost about 20 lbs with it anyway so no big deal. I haven't gained or lost just staying the same. I can eat most anything altho bread, rice and anything else sticky is still difficult. I can eat a little of this but no great amount which is fine because I still try to stick to the band eating rules. I use it as an accent not a main part of the meal. I can now also eat healthier foods than I could with a fill in the band. I can eat chicken breast, veggies and salads.I really want to get it removed but no insurance so in the mean time I'll stay empty.

I am 2 1/2 years post op. I just had to have all of my fill removed two weeks ago. It fixed the problems, not being able to eat anything, GERD and dehydration. I knew I was too tight before Christmas, but did not want to get it removed at the holidays.I was afarid I would over eat. It caught up with me.

I went to today and she put 5ccs back in and we are going from there. I am not having any problems now. I do not want to be so tight I can not eat correctly. It backfires because you eventually quit eating healthy and just eat what you are able to get down. You do not lose weight.

I have some fill back Yea!!

I have had up to 6cc in my band, now I am empty or almost empty. I still have restriction and if I get overly stressed, a lot of restriction. Why restriction changes in some people over time is odd, but if is for me. I can eat some foods more easily like bread. But have to limit it to 1 piece, etc. It works for me. I like being looser.

I ended up going down to 0cc. My band kept getting tighter. They would remove more and it would be OK than started getting tighter again. This went on untill all was out and than removed.
Congratulations on your two year Bandiversary!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
