port flips
My port flipped so that it was almost impossible to access it with a fill needle. Eventually I had surgery to reposition it. Port flips are not uncommon but shouldn't be a problem if you can still get fills and your port causes no discomfort to you. I've heard that some surgeons don't even suture the port into the abdominal fascia, but don't know if that's true.

Mine "tipped" They would just tip it to fill until it was to painful to tip back. When the removed it they found in was tipped with in the capsule of scare tissue and tipping it back was pulling tissue that was attached to the surround stuff. Mine was painful all the time. It still pulled lose and tipped. As long as it doesn't hurt and you can get a fill it wouldn't be a problem. Mine had little grabbers and was stitched.
Thank you, Mine does feel like it is pulling. Ever since I got the band, my port felt like to was pinching me. It flips up and down. But not side to side. Yet? My surgeon said that when I get down to my goal weight he can put in a smaller port. I am not looking forward to any more surgeries. Still have 80 lbs to go. Having difficultly losing. Maybe since it pulled loose it leaks.
