What are you eating today (Saturday) or yesterday?
Hey, hope everyone is doing well this Saturday. I had a good Dr. visit yesterday. My blood pressure was great- 108 over 73. He gave me drops and prednisone for my eyes. My allergies have been terrible.
B- fiber one and yogurt
S- Protein shake
L- sweet potatoe and chicken sausage
S- cheese and some wheat thins
D- fish and veggie
S- 1/4c nuts

My allergies do a number on my eyes, too.
My plan for today is:
B: protein latte
S: oatmeal w/ a strawberry, walnuts, & a dollop of Greek yogurt
S: strawberries
L: leftover lamb, orzo, green beans
S: raw fennel
S: cashews
D: chicken thighs w/ preserved lemons, capers, almonds & red potato, kale salad
S: chocolate Fiber One cereal
I've been experimenting with different hot cereals while trying to increase my fiber intake. I've tried bulgur, quinoa, and oatmeal (old fashioned and steel-cut). I've decided I just like oatmeal (preferably steel-cut, because I prefer the texture/consistency of it) the best.
No formal exercise today, but I'm going to be cleaning and rearranging our food pantry, so I won't be sitting around eating bon-bons, and I'll be playing plenty of dodge-em-doggies with all the helpers in the kitchen.
