How long is the hospital stay?

Yes I am having the BOB.

I was a day patient. Op at 8:30, cleared to go home 4:00. But BOB might be longer. 

I was a same day, too, though I was told that if the surgeon felt there was a reason I should be held over night I would stay. It was easy for me, too. Take a pillow for the ride home, though, for your tummy.

I was overnight when I got the band.  Wish I would have been same day.  I was same day when they took the band out, surgery called at 9:15 and home at 1:30.  Even though the surgery was harder I felt better at home.

i didn't stay overnight when i had my surgery, they also did a hiatal hernia repair.  I was in alot of pain the first few days, the pain meds helped, i also held a heating pad on my stomach,

I was a self-pay for my band.  My surgeon keeps all his bandsters one night.  His RNY's stay 3.
