I think I have finally come out of the funk I was in. Due to high stress last week, and me never binging on healthy foods, I didn't do well nor did I care to make the effort to get back. I was extremely lax about protein and didn't get any where near the fluids I should have. In stead of meals I mostly snacked on crackers, cookies, well you know. Today I am ready to go.

B. weight control oatmeal with yogurt stirred in

S. None

L. Protein soup and wasa crackers, plain

S. Almonds and cranberries

D. Some type of chicken and green beans

S. Almonds and cranberries

Exercise today is some serious cleaning. I just finished the bathroom using my steam cleaner and an old tooth brush. I don't do this often but I figured with my new attitude I should put it to good use.

I'm glad the funk is letting go of you (or you letting go of it). I know how hard it is to eat properly when you under a lot of stress, but I also know that stress is easier to handle when I properly hydrated and nourished (and rested).

When you're done cleaning your house, want to come over and tackle mine? We have plenty of canine assistants for you.

Sorry Jean but I have enough furry help. Mine has dragged out every single toy out of his basket to try to entice me to play. He also then leaves them all over the house, preferably where I can't get to them easily. There is always one on our bed where he likes to lay during the day so he can see what is going on in the neighborhood. Are there any murders walking past? Are any of his friends out to play? Are kids getting home from school? He loves children. They taste like chicken! Not really, but he loves to race out and have them be his friend and pet him.

Sounds like he'd get along famously with our gang, which is a truly frightening thought.

Today I worked on a project that should've taken one hour, but it has taken 5 hours and still isn't done because our bunch of dunderheads had to notify me VERY LOUDLY every time anything of interest (even if only of interest to them) appeared in the yard. The neighbor's dog. The UPS truck. The mail carrier. A cat on the porch. A fluttering leaf. A cat on the porch. Cows in the pasture. Another fluttering leaf. You get the idea.

My mom used to tell them, "You'd better go check out the front window. There could be a fire-breathing dragon out there," and they'd all gallop across the room and hurl themselves against the window while barking hysterically at the very IDEA of a fire-breathing dragon. Not that they'd recognize one. But you never know. It could happen, even here in rural Tennessee.
