Supper:
Chicken(or another meat) 150 calories - 20 protein
Veggies (if I'm still hungry) 50 calories - 0 protein
Snack:

I'm drinking water with lemon or water with some Mio.

Please any advice would be great!!
See I don't think those diets are the best way to go. The reason is eventually you will have to go back to a regular diet and possibly regain will happen. What I have tried to do with my diet...or I should say my lifestyle change because it's something I have been doing for a few years now and plan on doing forever. Is I found something I can do forever. I mean are you going to do the Atkins diet forever? What kind of exercise are you doing? I still have another 30lbs or so to lose and when I hit a plateau I either wait the plateau out or I will increase the intensity of my workouts. I do not not change up my diet or decrease my calories...why? because I know what I'm eating is healthy and I know I'm eating a healthy amount of calories. I'm not messing with that.
With my diet I have tried to get everything fresh, whole and homemade. I have stopped manufactured, processed, pre-packaged, frozen, store bought convenience foods. They are full of chemicals, preservatives, additives, artificial flavors and colorings. All of these things are not good for you and a lot of them are contributing factors to weight gain or preventing weight loss.
I eat around 800 calories a day. I don't think I could get that many in unless I drank more of them.
Are you meeting regularly with a nutritionist? That really helped me.
I don't need to eat peanuts as a snack, but it helps me not snack on anything else I guess?? At this point, I'm not exercising and its only gonna get worse, because I am having foot surgery 2/18/13.
I thought maybe I wasn't eating enough? I honestly dont know. i don't have the sugar and carb content.
Can someone maybe post a sample menu for them?
In all honest, I'm not missing anything like I thought I would. I could defiantly see my self doing this the rest of my life. I feel good about the healthy eating, but I am just upset that I have only lost a couple of pounds. I also have PCOS, so the low carb make its a little easier because of the insulin resistance, or so I thought....
Our group doesnt have the lap-band patients meet with the nutritionist and to be honest, when I did meet with her 2 times right after surgery, I was really pissed because she kept referencing, "well the bypass patients do this, and bypass patients do this"...
Thanks,

In place of the peanuts, you could get 14 - 16 grams of protein for about 100 - 140 calories if you substituted 2 pieces of String cheese -- or low-fat string cheese
If the Atkins shake satisfies you, it should be ok, but personally I prefer not to drink my calories, so I would have some Greek Yogurt or an egg for breakfast.
It sounds like you are getting plenty of protein --- not sure how many carbs, if you can stick with this level of food and stay satisfied, do it for about 2 weeks and see if the scale moves -- if not, consider making some changes.
Our metabolisms have been through the wringer --- from years of obesity, to surgery, etc --- it could take a while for your body to decide to give up some pounds --- hang in there!!
I was banded about 2.5 years ago. I lost about 75 pounds. But have gained back 15. I am hungry all the time, especially at night. I am thinking of going on the Atkins diet because I've read that it gets rid of the cravings. I have to start exercising more and drinking more water. I know those are the reasons I've gained. Plus the sweet snacking. I'm only suppose to do 1200 calories a day. But find I am still hungry. Ideas?
I live the Low Carb Lifestyle. I do not count my calories, I count carbs (less than 20 gms) and I count protein (greater than 120 gms)
I do not crave carbs, I am satiated 100% of the time and I have energy to work 2 jobs.
Try it!
Lost 271lbs with my LapBand in 22 months! My Band malfunctioned and I gained almost 42lbs and then revised to the Sleeve 9/24/12! I lost another 140 lbs with my Sleeve! Loved the LapBand and Lovin' The Sleeve!
I urge you to try it, even not for the long term, but to get your back on track.
My doctor was the one who suggested the Sleeve. I had done so well with the LapBand that he said, I was the perfect candidate for the Sleeve, since it is only a "restrictive" procedure. The Sleeve does take away the "hunger sensation" for most. BUT not all are left without feeling hungry. I have no felt hungry since surgery. I actually have to set my timer on my iPhone to remember to eat, if not, I could go all day and not eat anything. I still have head hungry and the Low Carb lifestyle fixes that.
The thing to know about the Low Carb lifestyle is that the first 3 to 4 days of starting the diet, you will feel like you have NO energy and like you got hit by a Semi Truck! Once you hit ketosis, your energy will return, you will feel well and your cravings will be done.
PM me if you have any questions!
