Alright got weighted today as I have joined ***WW*** thought I was a a certain weight and only had X amount of weight to loose...well did I get a big surprise...I gained an awful lot of weight. I was like whoa...My bandiversary is 02/15/13 and it will be tow years. I am still a little in shock but I know that I can do this I want to loose 41 pounds and hopefully with this program I can. I will be getting all new measuring cups and pulling out the smaller plates thats what worked for me in the beginning. I also have a little mini exercise bike that I WILL utilize....Wish me luck and if anyone knows any other exercises that I can do that isnt too much on my ankle I would appreciate it. Also what snacks do you snack on????

I HATE those shocks like getting weighed and it showing something I would rather ignore. Many here have done well with WW to help along with their tool. Structure and peer support helps immeasurably as does the accountability found there. You can do this and succeed very well. Use every tool in your arsenal to help you learn those new habits and get them into place for life. Congratulations on taking the first (not very pleasant) step.

Well I can promise you aren't alone! At least you are mentally ready to get back on track and I suggest going back to basics and journal every bite that goes in your mouth. It's amazing how easy it is to not count a bit of this or a nibble of that. I like eggs for snack because they tend to be very filling, usually 1/2 a deviled egg is about all I can handle. Ham and cheese roll ups are good and there is always greek yogurt that is pretty filling too. Just remember to take it one day at a time.

I found that lo-cal greek yogurt with a tablespoon of almond butter and a tablespoon of chopped nuts fills me up like crazy, gives me a lot of protein, calcium and vitamin D. Oh - and I LOVE it!

I love greek yogurt too.  I eat it for breakfast with fiber one.  Very filling.  I also like to snack on cheese, nuts, berries.  Also sometimes whole grain, baked crackers like wheat thins or trisquits I hope ww is helpful, sorry the initial weigh in was a shock.  You can do it!

Morning Bell!
i was told that anytime i ate a piece of fruit to eat it with a protien ( cottage cheese with canteloupe) it nutralizes the taste buds so you dont bring up cravings.

I too am a huge GREEK yogurt fan. I buy plain non fat greek yogurt ( fage, or chobani). I add 1 frozen strawberry & truvia. If you dont have time and want something premade, yoplait greek 100 calorie cherry or key lime is not do bad .100 calories/ 9 gr. sugars/ 10 proteins.

Emerald Cocoa Rosted almonds 100 calorie pack. Or they have walnut or almond. I get it not roasted, because the salt can set me up to eat more of it.
coffee! I saw jean posting it on her " what are we eating post?". I got mine at the vitamin shop. I do just 1 scoop for 60 calories.

My previous post I started responding through my tablet and it wouldn't let me edit it. So the last part of my post is messed up. Sorry.

If you find that coffee deminishes your appetite. I use "click" it's a protein coffee! I (one) scoop is 60 calories. I don't recommend liquids, but if ya get a hankering for something hot, this can do it and give you protein too. I learned about it from Jean M. : ). You can get it at the vitamin shoppe. Probably have it else where too, but that's where I found mine. I am really not a coffee drinker so I lean towards the mochas. It's better than resorting to Starbucks with drinks that will run up your carb count.

Hope this helps.

Love the pedal thing. I sit on the sofa with my iPad or watch tv and pedal at least an hour every day. I also bought some bands and use those for arm and leg strengthening. If you have a pool near by there are lots of non weight bearing exercises you can do in the pool.

I love to snack on a piece of celery with peanut butter, Special K crackers with a piece of laughing cow cheese, or Nice banana chips, almonds and granola bites. Nice is Walgreens brand and they make some good snacks.

Good luck, you are moving in the right direction!
