What are you eating today (Wednesday) or yesterday?
Hi all. I have a plan, but dinner might change if my mom cooks something on my program. I am going to visit my parents this afternoon until Fri. morning. Thur. night we are seeing The Price is Right filmed in her area (Flagler Beach FL). I find it a little harder to stick to my plan when I am away from home. However, I am bringing some food with me so I will have everything I need.
B- Fiber one and yogurt
S- Protein shake
L- Lean burger, 1 pc whole wheat toast and carrots
S- Wheat thins and cheese
D- Fish and veggie I think
S- 1/4c nuts
Day of leftovers for me -
B-Fage cherry yogurt w/ shaved almonds
S-Sunflower seeds
L-Chicken and 3 bean soup (leftover from yesterday); crackers
S-Ass't nuts
D-Chicken meatballs (leftover from chicken burgers) w/ homemade bbq sauce; sauteed Chinese veggies
S-Protein shake
Water throughout the day; peach decaffeinated tea
Even if you're aren't able to stick to your plan 100% while you're with your parents, you'll probably still be doing OK. I used to use a trip like that as an excuse for a non-stop pig-out.
What kind of Fiber One are you eating? A cold cereal? I've been trying hard to get more fiber into my diet to counteract the effects of my iron supplement. A friend suggested eating some chocolate Fiber One cereal as a snack. Have you tried it, or what else would you recommend?
My food plan for today:
B: protein latte
S: steel-cut oatmeal w/ a dollop of banana Greek yogurt
S: Fiber One protein bar
L: leftover meatloaf & cabbage
S: raw fennel
D: leftover cod w/ creamy tomato sauce
S: trail mix
S: half of Fiber One fiber bar
Both the Fiber One protein and fiber bars have only 7g of sugar, but after I ate the protein bar this morning, I wished I had eaten only half of it. So I'll play it safe at work tonight and eat just half of a fiber bar for my break.
This morning was a butts & guts class. I thought I was doing great and looking great during the class until I happened to glance over at another girl - tall, slender, beautiful, strong, flexible, and a lot younger than me (isn't everyone?) - and then wished I'd kept my eyes to myself. It's JUST NOT FAIR that some people can be slender & beautiful apparently with no effort at all.

Yes, I am not using the trip to my parents as an excuse to pig out for sure. So far so good. We had braised short ribs and carrots for dinner tonight- yum. I eat the Publix brand of Fiber one, it's called Fiber Active. There is no chocolate. It is 60 calories for 1/2 a cup and has 50% of the reccomended fiber. The cereal looks kinda like brown toothpicks. I think the name brand is just Fiber one but I'm not really sure. It is delicious with Fage Greek yougurt- fat free. I put a splenda in it to reduce some of the tang.
