Keep working that band Brock as long as you aren't having problems with it there is no reason to worry. Mine never did really work and because of insurance issues I can't get it removed but I still eat bandster style even tho my band is empty and have managed to maintain. So keep on keepin' on, you can do it!
I would totally keep my band if I were in your shoes. In fact, I cried like a baby when my dr told me that it had to go. I would only remove it if I was having medical complications, as I believe that you always have to weigh the pros and cons for every surgery, since there is always risk involved.
