LapBand and Bulimia

I need someone to talk to who may be experiencing some bulimia struggles since being banded. I'd like to discuss this privately one on one w/ someone who also may struggle, I'd rather not be public about any issues I may be having at the moment.

With the lapband overeating causes many of the signs/ symptoms similar to bulimia... ie eating until you are over full and then vomiting it back up.

This causes complications with the band such as band slippage, dilation of the esophagus, etc...

I am willing to listen, not experiencing this issue, but do remember the feeling of being new to the lapband and dealing with the loss of a way to cope with stress!

I went through that my second year post op. Fortunetly, it passed as I worked through working with my band. I was petrified I was turning bullimic as well.Good luck and I hope someone has wise words for you.
