I do have to say that even as a fat person, I've never felt "like a failure," though. Fat doesn't equal failure. I'm sorry that you've felt this way your whole life until now.

Sorry, I should clarify - I am successful in most areas of my life. I felt like a failure at losing weight and keeping it off. Because I was a failure in that endeavor. I'd venture to say that everyone here did not achieve success at weight loss else they would not seek surgery, right?
