Working grave yards

When I have to work odd shifts I set my phone timer to alert me after every 2 - 4 hours to eat. And I would pack a snack/meal for each alert and only eat that. It is hard but can work.
Good Luck

I have worked 12 hour nights for many years. I eat protein only on my night on. This way I am not craving junk which is always everywhere at the hospital -- nurses tend to be always given gifts of food.
I take lots of 4 oz portions of protein to work. Tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad, turkey salad. (get the idea?)
I also make taco meat and eat it in a bowl with sour cream and cheese on top. The protein truly helps me stay satiated and I actually lose weight on my work nights. You can take fruit to eat if you get hungry - but for me, fruit makes me crave more carbs, so I just stay away from all carbs - good and bad.
Lastly, my surgeon taught me when I was banded to only eat when I'm hungry. I know when I need a fill because if I eat a solid protein meal and I get hungry before the 4 hour mark, it's time for a fill.
