Why I would ONLY do the Band, coz it works for ME (PICS) My 7 + Year Journey

Many people on this board has asked WHY get the band? Because it has worked for me over 7 years, I had a bump in my journey and got a new band about 2 months ago and I AM STILL VERY HAPPY WITH MY BAND....and I hope to have many more good years with it, so far so good............I don't have optimal restriction yet -- I've only had 1 fill, MOST importantly I feel good and I may not be in a size 8/10 anymore, I am currently a size 14 and I can live with this size in my last pictures of 2012, but I sure am glad I am not where I started......thanks to my lap band
THIS is where I started in 2005

Thank you sweetie......All the ole timers know me, they followed EVERY STEP of my journey, coz god knows it was earned with sweat and tears......I miss all the old vets, you are truly an inspiration too. Strangely, those who got their bands placed a few years back seemed to be more successful than those who are newly banded.
I think THIS BOARD had a LOT to do with success, there was more support, there were more lap banders cheering each other on and THAT MATTERS. I feel sorry for those who are getting banded nowadays, they get beat up by the band bashers and get run off the forum. If they want some type of support group, it has to be done in real life and that's so sad.
I had that the lap band forum has been destroyed.....
You my dear are a true band inspiration...look at you...big contrats to you in your skinny bikini...

Thank You! It's a SHAME that so many successful lap banders have been run off,and the newbies really don't have the support from this board that I had when I was a newbie to stay motivated...

I agree with giants21! I'm only 7 weeks post op - and haven't lost but the 6 lbs I lost in the first 2 weeks post op. I go for my first fill tomorrow and I'm nervous as heck! I don't know what to expect. Will it hurt. How do I know how much he will fill me and if it's too much or not enough. How do i know if my stomach has already stretched out a bit since the surgery since I haven't been restricted much or if the band has moved at all????? I'm anxious to get to the losing weight part and hope it happens after the fill. I'm rather restricted on exercise that would burn many calories as I have bad arthritis in both feet and both knees and a torn cartliage in my right knee and a repaired tear in my left knee and my right hip has been hurting a lot lately. The exercise doc had me get a low impact exercise dvd that I should be able to do but haven't pushed my self to do much of it since I've had the surgery. Please someone assure me that the weight will start dropping , although slow it may be. I think if I can get some more weight off, it will be much easier on my feet and knees and I will be able to do a bit more exercise.
Keep up the good work.

Exercise is a NECESSITY
Wow this board is amazing ! Why in the world would someone accuse someone else their picture was photo shopped? What would be the point ? I had my lapband 5 years ago part of the reason was because of this board it was so helpful then. I have been lucky I guess I have had no problems an have lost around 80 pounds. I also used to tell people to come to this board for advice I would not now !

Umm, has the post regarding photoshopping been removed or am I blocked by the poster in question?
I've been away for awhile because I haven't had internet with the move. Sorry I am tardy to this party.
To the best of my knowledge and belief, there's been no photoshopping with Nana.
