This was posted earlier this week, just wanted to repost it again .

Did all that Thanks Giving turkey send you into a tail spin, that continued to roll on through the holidays and into the new year? Did ya get on the scale and scream,"what the happened?"

Come on did ya????

I will be hosting the Commit to be Fit post, you decided what exercise you want to do, and how much time YOU are able to committ for! Just tell me how many minutes a week you can do for the week. Sometimes there is just that putting it out there that helps us to stay accountable. You choose if you want to do this for the next couple of weeks, or go week by week. If you want to at least get to Valentines day, thats fine, it's up to you.

Just look for my post every Sunday evening or respond Monday morning with your comittment minutes you want to do for the week. I will post again Saturday morning asking for your total minutes completed by Saturday. We will run it from Sunday through Saturday .

Give me your committment minutes. If you do 30 minutes a day, it will be 210 minutes a week.

I personally will be committing to......

420 minutes this coming week. (personal training/ elliptical/spinning/ and walking)

***I like variety these days!!!!

Go ahead and gimme your committment minutes .....

I'm glad that the holiday shopping & eating chaos is over, although going from constant hysteria to dead calm is a shock to the system. I didn't gain any weight, but I've hit a weight loss plateau. I don't know if that's because I'd been making some poor food choices and exercising less or if my body has just decided this is my "new normal" weight. I'm only 3 lbs up from my goal weight and I fit into 95% of last winter's clothes, so I can't complain (much).

I commit to 225 minutes of workout exercise (plus plenty of purposeful movement at work and at home) in the coming week. I'll be doing cardio/interval, weight & resistance training, fit & firm (butts & guts), Pilates/yoga, and step aerobics classes.

Speaking of cardio/interval...we have a new instructor at my fitness studio. Melinda is a little dynamo and teaches a cardio/interval class that has just about killed me, and I'm not the only person who finds that class brutal. I'm amazed that we haven't had to carry someone out of the studio on a stretcher after that class. So, yesterday there was a new notice next to the class sign-in sheet asking if anyone would be interested in a "high intensity" version of Melinda's class. And my thought was: "WTF? Her current class is low intensity? How could anyone survive a higher intensity version?!"

OMG! It's those "tiny" instructors you have to worry about! I use a trainer twice a week, with 3 other people. We swear that she stays up late at night thinking how else she can torture us! .. And to think, we are paying her to torture us! YIKES!!!!!

I am so glad I had one of those can't sleep nights and found this thread. I saw a t-shirt that read "What did I get for Christmas?...Fat, I got fat.

I didn't gain any weight I just haven't lost any in a really long time. I've just been sliding by, which would be ok if I was at goal but I am not. I still have atleast another 50 to lose.

I am committing to 225 mins. 2 45 min. sessions of aerobics and 3 sessions of walking.

Welcome Diane!
So glad you found this post! Great read for a t-shirt! Lol

I love to watch the morning news, so on the mornings I can, I get on the elipticle at the gym and hit 2 birds with one stone before heading off to work ( i dont get real sweaty, so no biggie). i do better with my eating this way too! I do 30 minutes and that burns 200 calories for me, that burns off majority of my breakfast right there! If I dig up for a class I might do 15 minutes before a class followed by another 15 minutes after the class. I don't have to go super fast either, I'm gonna burn those calories all the same.

I am 5 years post op and I so LOVE exercising! Certainly exercising was never apart of my vocabulary before!

Hope you were finally able to catch a few zzzzzz
