I had a lap band done 4 years ago, the last month or so I;ve  found that I have trouble with meat, especially at supper. Just doesn't want to go down and a lot of times it won't stay down. Any ideas??

After four years you know how to do this so suggestions like using gravy etc. won't be any use to you.

Might you be a bit tight? It can happen for no obvious reason. I can't remember exactly but I think I was about three or four yeqrs out when I needed s tiny unfill. Had 0.1cc out snd no problems since.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

You should go for an unfill. If that corrects the problem after some healing time then great. If it doesn't you will want to get that checked out. I am not saying there is anything seriously wrong with your band but it sounds as if you could be experiencing the early part of what I did. I ended up with a total unfill and a healing time of 8 weeks, then had to get it out. I chose to revise, but even though my UGI"s were good, I just got worse. There was nothing wrong with my beloved band, it was my body trying to reject it. Again I say don't rush to conclusions here but get it checked out.

Good luck, keep us posted.

Try a partial unfill, sometimes just a small amount can make a big difference.
