What are you eating today (Friday) or yesterday?
OK, I'm ready for winter to be over now. I think I've inherited my mom's circulation problems. In the 15 minutes it takes for me to get to work (or back), my fingertips turn white and go numb, and my entire right hand stays achingly cold even when the rest of me is warm.
Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: corn popover
S: poached egg on lemon ricotta
L: leftover roast beef, coleslaw
S: apple, Havarti cheese
S: raw sugar snap peas
D: baked chicken thigh, roasted winter veggies (sweet potato, turnip, Brussels sprouts)
S: peanut butter banana chips
This morning's exercise class will be step aerobics, my favorite.
Have a great day!
Jean

That's horrible about the cold aching hands. :/ Is there anything they can do to help improve circulation to the extremities?
B: oatmeal, carrots (on the side not in hehe), milk, half cup of coffee
S: peach yogurt
L: leftover mostaccoli, milk
S: broccoli, carrots, low cal ranch dip
D: homemade chicken vegetable soup and biscuits, milk
S: protein fruit smoothie
exercise: again it's burr outside. on the treadmill in the nice warm apartment.
I don't think there's much you can do about the poor circulation. About 6 months ago I mentioned it to my internist's NP (no longer in his employ) and she said it's just part of the aging process. Same thing with the veins in my legs and feet that bulge out at the end of my workday - normal aging. See what you have to look forward to?

I asked that NP if 20+ years of obesity could have contributed to the vein situation, and she gave me a deer-in-the-headlights look.
I think the only way the bulging veins go away is if they're of the varicose variety and a vascular surgeon removes them.
