Probable Band leak... (and I'm self pay)

I am in the exact boat!! :(  I don't have my info on what the costs will be yyet though and I haven't done the test yet to confirm where the leaking is. I will update and you do too please?

I had a leak and it was in a different year than the surgery.  I had to pay both deductibles.  Part of that deductible is the cost of a new band.  The doctor is not responsible for a leak in the band.  If they are nice they may work with you on the cost (their cost) for the band.  The hospital, from my experience working at hospitals, charges the price they charge for the surgery. The same for anesthesia also.

I thought the repair was an easier surgery.  Mine was in the port but they could not find it because it was on the back so they had to look the whole way through.  Still it was an easier surgery. 

Hopefully you do not have a leak.  I have days where I could eat anything.

If you do have to have surgery maybe your repair will be less painful than the first.
