A frosty good morning to you.

I have to work today, otherwise I probably wouldn't venture out of the house into the 19F weather. Wherever you are, Jack Frost, you can go back to Canada now.

Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: scrambled egg beaters w/ tomato & cheese
S: banana w/ peanut butter
L: leftover pizza (1/4 of an 8" pizza)
S: trail mix
S: raw sugar snap peas
D: smoked turkey sausage, kale salad, sauteed onions & cabbage
S: cinnamon oatmeal breakfast cookie

When I first discovered that some fruits make me dump, I was too scared to try even one bite of banana, but since then I've found that I can eat a few slices of banana (along with some protein and fat) without problems. I'm very happy about that.

Stay warm!

Jean

I'd happily take frost. We got his cousin Snow Flake, and they left a mess of about seven inches.

B: cheerios, milk

S: grapes and cheese

L: leftover chicken pot pie, milk

S: hummus and carrots

D: bean with bacon soup with grilled cheese sandwich, milk

S: protein fruit smoothie

Around here, the sight of just one of the Snow Flake cousins causes panic and school closings. That whole danged family could make me happy if they all relocated somewhere far away.

Jean- I know what you mean about school closings et... when a few snowflakes fall.  I lived for 10 years in Mass, teaching and then in Georgia for a year.  The year I was in Georgia I had more snow days then a typical winter in Mass.  Not that I complained lol.  A surprise day off was always a nice thing.  I now live in Florida, so haven't seen snow in forever.

Brrrrr---- chilly!

I got up at 9am (love vacation time) --- and decided to walk over to the gym to do some time on the elliptical.

It was 47 degrees --- so, light hoodie, knitted cowl, ipod and off I went ---- it is about a 30 minute walk to the gym.

I was surprised to find that there is a Sunday morning Spinning class --- so I got to do the last 20 minutes of it, and some stretching.

Then, I hit the elliptical for 40 minutes ---- stopped by the grocery store next door for a bottle of water, and walked back home.

So -- I have earned 10 Weigh****cher activity points!!

On my way to the gym I ate a Luna Fiber bar --- I just tried these this week, and they are really good.

They are similar to a Nutri-Grain bar (cookie/cake-y with fruit stuff inside) -- but these have 120 calories, only 2 grams of protein but 7 grams of fiber (Nutri-Grain only have 2 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber).

When I got home, I had a banana ---- so, it is 12:30 now and I am not hungry.

Lunch will be in about an hour, I hope --- and will be some left-over chicken parm from last night's dinner

Dinner will be grilled pork loin (Martin will fire up the grill while I fix the sides).

I have a container of Country Crock Broccoli/Rice --- I will steam and add a few cups of fresh broccoli, some grated cheese and a cracker topping to that  and picked up some small ears of corn yesterday at Sprouts

Fresh raspberries for a snack/desert later on
