Lap Band Slip and Converted?

My band is out and I"m waiting for my sleeve surgery now.  I don't believe it matters if it is realize or lap band, the realize just hasn't been out there as long.  Check out the revision boards, many lap-realize banders having to convert. Most getting converted to the sleeve say the sleeve works like the band claimed to.  I choose sleeve as I did real with the band before the issues.
