2 NSVs in one day...what more can a girl ask for!!!

Today a friend of mine brought in a coat of hers that she doesn't want any more (it's a really nice black pea coat from GAP) and she tells me it's a size 10...and I tell her there's no way that's going to fit me!!!  So I try it on  and OMG...not only did it fit but there was room!!! I couldn't believe it.  It will be 4 years in March that I got my band and I have lost 170+ lbs and I was a size 30!!!  Now I am wearing a 10!!!

My next NSV happened later in the day.  At work I'm always cold...they keep the office like a meat locker.  My hands are always ice cold.  So I have started wearing fingerless gloves (so I can still type) and wrapping my legs with a small throw.  Well one of the girls in the office walked by and said "are you a little cold"  and I said "I'm so sick of freezing my butt off..so I decided to bundle up" and she said "well of course you're cold all of the time...you have no fat on you"....her comment just stopped me in my tracks.  I just started working there in June so they don't know the "fat" me.  I'm not used to people making "skinny" comments.

Funny thing is when I look in the mirror I don't exactly see an obese fat person but I definitely don't see the skinny person she sees.  I guess what I see a sort of fat person that needs more weight loss and lots of plastic surgery.

Those are great NSV's!

A few years ago I went to a party where most of the action was outdoors on the hostess's deck. It started to get cool and the medium-sized hostess offered to loan me a sweater of hers. No one there knew about my WLS so I accepted the sweater even though I thought there was no way it was going to fit. Much to my surprise, it fit!

I know what you mean about not seeing the skinny person in the mirror. That happens to me, too, but less and less often as time goes on. It takes a good long time to adjust the interior reality to the exterior reality.
