What are you eating today (Sunday) or yesterday?

I'll just sum up my workday yesterday by saying that the time sure went by fast. I'm glad to have a day of rest today before I go back to holiday shopping madness on Monday. Not that I'll get a lot of rest today if I do everything on my to-do list.

Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: scrambled egg beaters w/ spinach & mushrooms
S: cinnamon oatmeal breakfast "cookie"
L: leftover beef tongue & squash casserole
S: Havarti cheese
S: baby carrots
D: venison liver, roasted Brussels sprouts, tomato salad
S: peanut butter banana chips

Today seems to be a variety meat day, doesn't it? We don't eat beef tongue very often because it's very rich, but we love it (I let my husband remove the taste buds). The venison liver was given to us by a coworker of my husband's. Mr. Jean likes it better than Jean does. Nuff said.

The peanut butter banana chips are a fairly successful experiment. I tossed banana chips (bought at Wal-Mart) with canola oil and PB2 powder until the chips were well-coated, spread them on a baking sheet and heated them at 300F for about 15 minutes. I can't claim this is an extremely healthy snack, but it's tasty. Not sure I'll do it again.

Exercise: vacuuming the floors.

does chasing cats around the living room while trying to set up a christmas tree count? :)

Yes, it absolutely does.

When we had indoor cats (prior to the arrival of the 9 dogs), the cats participated in Christmas decorating way too much. And once the tree was set up, and steadied by several lengths of fishing line strung between the tree and the wall, they continued to participate by drinking water from the tree stand, playing with ornaments, climbing the tree, napping in the tree, and other things best forgotten. So I think you're a brave woman indeed to have a Christmas tree at all.

Those cats had gone on to heaven by the time the 9 dogs arrived. And are no doubt messing with God's Christmas tree even as we speak. Along with messing with my mom's knitting.
