What are you eating today (Wednesday) or yesterday?

My eating did not go according to plan yesterday. I've been helping a workout pal who's starting a non-profit business (getting involved in something like that was one of my goals for 2012). After yesterday's weight training class, she told me that some meetings with potential donors had been moved up and that she needed a brochure (that I hadn't even designed or written yet) printed and a quote( for the hang-tags I had designed) by the end of the day. So that fire drill took over my day and shoved my own errands and eating plans aside. I didn't eat stupid stuff, but I picked at this and that, always hungry but too rushed to do anything about it. It's not a good to push through a hot project without any fuel. I'm going to have to think about how to do that better because the need will surely arise again, probably sooner than later.

I work at JCP today, so my eating will be more structured..

Food plan:
B: protein latte
S: scrambled egg beaters w/ spinach & cheese
S: cinnamon oatmeal breakfast cookie
L: Babybel light cheese, red grapes
S: trail mix
S: baby carrots
D: baked chicken thighs, avocado & roasted carrot salad
S: almond, craisin & sesame seed snack mix

No exercise class today because the store opens early.

Have a super-duper day!

Jean

OT: Hi Jean, have a question about when JC Pennys employees do their bra sizing. My daughter had one done this past weekend and the associate did it right next to the register. Is this normal? I thought they'd take her to the dressing room or something???

Where we do a bra fit in my store is up to the customer, but usually in the fitting room. I say something like, "You don't have to disrobe, but let's go into the fitting room where we'll have more privacy." Older customers usually don't care (I've had elderly ladies take their blouse off next to the register before I could stop them), but most prefer the fitting room.

There's only one fitting room for the lingerie dept in my store. It's also one of the 2 handicapped access fitting rooms in the store. So if someone is already using that fitting room and the bra fit customer doesn't want to wait, I have to measure her on the sales floor (behind a display fixture, not by the register) or find someone to cover my department while I take the customer to the other handicapped access fitting room (in another part of the store). I hate using the other HA fitting room because it means I have to run back and forth, back and forth, with the bras the customer wants to try on, so I encourage the customer to wait. But if she's in a hurry, I offer to measure her outside the fitting room and if she doesn't want to do that, I ask her if she has more shopping to do until my fitting room is free.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I told her that they do it for free and she doesn't have to take her shirt off, and I thought they would take her to the dressing room which is very close to that register. But she just had her step next to the register with other people in line and measure her, I could hear everything she said. Must have been just her.
