What are you eating today (Saturday) or yesterday?

I don't have to be at wor****il 3:30 pm, so in theory I could sleep in this morning. But guess what? I woke up at 5:30 am, started thinking about the 101 things I have to do today, and couldn't go back to sleep.

So, good morning. I think.

I was going to make these cute little sausage cups for dinner last night (you make the cups by pressing won ton wrappers into a mini cupcake pan, baking them a few minutes, then fill them with cooked sausage and cheese and bake them a while longer) but at the last minute discovered that the stupid won ton wrappers had gotten moldy after sitting in a zip-lock bag in the fridge for a few weeks. Grrrr. I had already made the sausage-cheese mixture, so we had that glopped onto our plates. It looked like something you'd punish your dog for, but tasted pretty good.

Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: baked oatmeal w/ blueberries & raspberries
S: scrambled egg beater w/ cheese
L: Morningstar Farms chik patty, sliced tomato
S: Havarti cheese
S: trail mix
D: leftover sausage stuff, more tomato
S: almond, craisin & sesame seed snack mix

Today's exercise: running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Have a good day!

Jean

Well as expected my scale was not accurate: I didn't lose six pounds, but I did lose three pounds and my ob/gyn gave me a ration of carp for it, she doesn't want me losing weight. After explaining to her how the band works (she thought it worked like some gatekeeper to keep me from eating too much), NOW she wants me to go to the surgeon and have restriction taken out which is infuriating because I canceled my appt on Wednesday of this week and to get into see him is usually a two month wait. ::headdesk:: So now, I have to call them on Monday and beg for an emergency visit, which while it's not an emergency, I can't wait two months for an unfill. He's usually pretty good about it,it's just his staff that drives me up the wall.

B: turkey sausage, homemade hashbrowns, OJ w/ calcium

S: protein shake

L: tuna salad over romaine, milk

S: leftover winter fruit salad with vanilla yogurt

D: turkey stirfry w/ brown rice, milk

S: undecided at this point

So your OB didn't consider the possibility that your morning sickness has been affecting how much you're been eating?

she didn't apparently consider how little i eat during the day even though i eat six times a day. when i showed her how much i consume in one sitting then she finally cottoned on why i asked about the restriction. she's had experience with RNY but not a lot with lapband it sounds like. dunno what to do that about that. i guess i'll have to see going forward, making sure i'm spelling out every concern into minutiae and why it's a concern, and how it exactly it's affects me.

also the morning sickness hasn't really been affecting how much i consume. that's actually still on par. i guess she didn't get that small amounts of food + exercise = weight loss even if pregnant? i'm merely speculating on that.

And doesn't the sea horse's growth and development require its mama to consume 200 extra calories a day?

But what do I know. I've never had children. Human ones, anyway.

Years and years ago a super morbidly obese coworker of mine lost weight throughout her pregnancy and yet managed to deliver a healthy baby. And that was long before the days of sonograms and other higher tech ways to evaluate and measure fetal growth.

well i have been consuming an extra three hundred calories a day, just from drinking milk at every meal because i had to up it to 2% because 1% and skim were making me gag. i'm still losing weight though because i exercise and i'm still not consuming a 2000 calorie a day menu either. i think i clocked in somewhere around 1200 last sit down with the nutritionist, who is well aware of my seahorse. that was with the increased milk consumption because prior to that i was typically around 800-900 calories a day.

it'd be handy if they were all in the same office so they could communicate with one another. cool

edit: well after a meal i mean. i eat my food wait about 30 and then sip 8 oz of milk

Yeah, it'd be nice to have them all singing from the same sheet of music, wouldn't it?
