Welcome.
my best advice is to follow YOUR doctors orders, attend support group meetings if they are available and have regular follow up with your doctor no matter what.
Bands do not work if they are not properly adjusted and it takes multiple appointments to get adjusted correctly and stay adjusted correctly. Our bodies lose weight internally and externally, so your band will need adjusting all along your weight loss journey.
Just like what Above poster said! Support very important! Coming here helps but we are not your final say, your doctor is.
Walk to move gas pain out of your system. Plan to incorporate exercise in your daily routine.
Sip your water stay hydrated. Protein shakes!!!
Focus on healing now, not so much on scale
No sneaking crap into your system. Great time for your body to continue to detox.
*i had posted a post on "Emotional eating" a few post below yours check it out.
Continue to see a physc. as its quite a "head " journey and you go through sooooo many emotions.
Enjoy the ride,

Nov 10,2009 I reached GOALL BYE BYE 130 POUNDS! It wasn't about the FOOD, it was about what was eating at YOU! Time for a Head adjustment! **July 2011 Plastic Surgery Lower Body Lift
Exercise is not a LUXURY!
Exercise is a NECESSITY
Opinions or advice? Heck, I could write a whole book on that.
But wait! I DID write a book on that, and that's way too much to put in a single forum post. So right now I'll just suggest that you read other members' forum posts (which may include answers to questions you haven't even thought of yet) and post your own questions when they come up.
Congrats on the start of your weight loss surgery journey!

I just got my second band 3 week ago after having my old one for 7 years and it is a new experience all over again for me, I had gotten rusty on some things. I tell yea, the first 6 weeks are the toughest, and is still very hard for me. I am healing much better the second time around, but my new band is does not feel tighter than my first band even with saline in it.
My advice is to go slow on fills, don't get them unless you are REALLY REALLY hungry, avoid vomiting at all cost if you can, because it can stretch the pouch if you do this frequently, keep your meals no larger than 4 ounces to prevent stretching the pouch, drink plenty of liquids, focus on proteins after you heal, attend support groups to stay on track and support others online if you can.
Good luck on your new journey!
