It seems like there are so few posts here just for fun, so here's one for today. What's your favorite holiday movie or TV show? What makes you smile, cry, or find childhood wonder all over again?

For me, it was a tough one. After after careful reflection, winning by the very slimmest of margins over "A Charlie Brown Christmas", is the original "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." No matter what kind of mood I'm in, for a half hour, I'm a five-year-old once more.

I can narrow down to two.  Love White Christmas, we watch it after Thanksgiving dinner every year.  It is the start of Christmas for us.  But I adore A Christmas Story-always makes me laugh!

A Christmas Story. The phrase "You'll put your eye out!" Is a classic in our family; they use it against me everytime I want to get a chain saw, use power tools, etc.

I have come to love "It's a Wonderful Life." I saw in on stage about two years ago. Can't believe I went so long in life without seeing it! Walking out of the theater afterwards, I mumbled/sniffled to my date: "Am I the only one in this whole place who is crying?"  :-)

Christmas Story hands down!  I love it.  This year my mom is buying the grandkids a bibi gun for each family (to be used at her house with close supervision, don't want anybody poking there eye out).  We willl watch the movie and then have them find them the way the father directs Ralphie to in the movie.  Should be awsome!

Christmas Vacation. I love Uncle Eddie. Also the Grinch, but we watch all of them.

A Christmas story, which my family will forever call "The Leg Lamp Movie".

Although it is more of a Thanksgiving rather than Christmas show, Home for the Holidays is about one of the funniest movies on tv each year.  I so look foward to it.  Anne Bancroft and Holly Hunter are hilarious in it.

Yep A Christmas Story for me too, who doesn't just die a little when poor Ralphie walks downstairs in that humiliating pink bunny suit?! And of course "you'll shoot your eye out!".Or dad and his battle with the furnace, or the Bumpkes's dogs? Or the lamp, it's just one giggle after another and always signals the season has started!
