What are you eating today (Saturday) or yesterday

The good news in the retail world is that yesterday was my store's busiest Black Friday in recent history. The bad news is that yesterday was my store's busiest Black Friday in recent history. I am WIPED OUT. And today I have to go back for another dose of holiday business.

The break room at work was piled high with pizza, candy canes, chocolate and Little Debbie goodies, none of which would agree with me and (strangely) none of which appealed to me.

Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: scrambled egg beater w/ cheese
S: cinnamon oatmeal breakfast cookie
L: leftover avocado-carrot salad w/ Havarti cheese
S: trail mix
D: leftover roast beef, bacon & cheddar potato bites, red pepper & orange relish
S: almond, craisin & sesame snack mix

So, have you begun your holiday shopping yet?

start my shopping on black friday? are you kidding me? i have no interest in getting slugged in the face over the last "shiny" in electronics. plus, i also prefer to shop at small business, rather than corporate chains, no offense intended.

was traveling back home today so my eating habits were a little skewed.

B: one scrambled egg, one piece of bacon, one piece of sausage, three bites of a strawberry pancake (IHOP)

L: (which took me about four hours to consume, but i did without getting stuck on the bread woot) a four inch WAWA toasted hoagie with roast beef, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, sweet peppers, light mayo, spicy mustard, oil and vinegar

S: beef jerky

D: still deciding. probably a salad from a local restaurant. i'm so not cooking after driving that long.

S: protein shake

I prefer to shop at small businesses too, but out here in the boondocks, doing so would limit me to giving gifts of farm equipment.

well i'm in the sticks. in either case, to drive to major corporate chains or to smaller businesses, either way it's a 45 minute trip one way. :)

Argh! This is worse than post-op! Dental/jaw surgery four days ago. So swollen I can only suck things off a teaspoon! Forbidden to eat anything on one side of mouth for eight weeks and nothing hard or chewy even on the "good" side until then!

So I am on slops! And, of course, as we all know, that doesn't make us feel full.

Breakfast. Skninny latte

Snack. Skinny latte.

Lunch. Mug of smooth soup.

Snack. Weigh****chers mousse.

Dinner. Milky mashed potato with cheese.

AND THIS IS DAY FOUR OF THIS AND NOT ONE POUND LOST! Bummer! If I have to suffer, I might at least end up skinny and suffering! Although actually losing weight would not be too good! Not needed!

only when related to farming and usually feeding piggies. that's my experience anyhow :)

Ah! Over here, it just means rather runny food. So creamy mash potato would not be sloppy but if you put too much milk in it and it was soggy enough to drip off the spoon it would be sloppy! So eating slops is an OK thing to say, just meaning food which it s bit too liquid to be really nice!

Oliver Twist ate slops! Watery porridge in his case (or oatmeal as you would say!!)

make sense since "slopping pigs" is usually runny leftovers that are used to feed the farm animals. didn't even think of the story of oliver twist.
