What is the typical first fill with the AP small 10cc band?

My surgeon mentioned that he put in 5cc during my surgery and last week every thing went down very quickly like I really did not have a fill in there when I was eating broth, jello and popcycles. But yesterday I progressed to watery grits and thinned out potato soup and each meal I was pretty stuffed and I ate grits early morning and I did not feel hunger until about 5 pm and I did not eat lunch. And I have to stop on about 1/2 cup.

So if I am feeling like this I will not need a fill any time soon if I am getting satisfied on thicker mushy foods. So I am wondering if this was a pretty big fill for the first time? I am sure I am still feeling swelling from the surgery also, so this could be making me feel fuller quicker also.

Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*,  lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!

Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight downsmiley

certainly more than i started with. i started with 3CC in the band i went up in .5cc to 1cc at each fill every two months afterwards

edit: actually that's not correct. with the band initially there was no restriction because he wanted me to get used to the band and i was on the liquid post op diet. about a month or two after that is when they started restriction and it went up from there but i think initially it was 2-3 CCs in the band.

I think I started with 3 CC as well.  Sounds like you certainly don't need any more, and need to watch how much you are able to eat to avoid being too low in calories.  Glad to hear that you are progressing along, Nana.

WAIT, on the fill Naomi. Allow time for all swelling to go down ( My swelling took 6 months to go down ), allow yourself to resume your regularly scheduled menstrual cycle, if you have allergies then allow yourself to get through your allergy season, travel to a higher altitude, catch a cold, but my suggestion is for you to WAIT  WAIT  WAIT.

I was given the 3cc prime per Co recommendation.  They also made you wait 6 week for the first fill as recommended.  Than I was given 2cc for a total of 5cc.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

My band is 11cc, but it is a Realize Band.

it was placed empty ---- at the 4-week mark, my doctor tried a 5cc fill -- and it was too much so he removed about 1 cc, leaving me 4.

that seemed to be perfect --- and then I got fills every 3 weeks for a while (I was losing about 15 pounds per fill at that time -- and he was putting in about 1/2cc at a time).

I have somewhere near 9cc now, I think -- but honestly don't know the amount -- just that it is enough.

My band was empty until about 6 weeks after surgery. My first will was about 2CC
