So far we have found that I am extremely extremely low in vitamin D, and I go tues morning for xrays of the band and also what happens when I swallow.     Thanks for all the emails!  XOXO

That's not too surprising because from what I understand most people are especially if we live where there isn't alot of sunshine. I started taking some awhile back and I'm surprised how much better I feel I didn't really expect it to do anything. Good luck on your xrays hopoe they show what's going on!

Several bariatric dietitians have mentioned the importance of vitamin D - something I hadn't given a lot of thought to in the past. It's in the calcium supplement I take, but even though I'm The World's Greatest Living Expert on Everything, I can't recall what vitamin D is supposed to do for us, just that it's important. And from dealing with my own micronutrient problems post-VSG, I'm learning that when one vitamin or mineral is out of whack, it can send a lot of other stuff out of whack. Anyway, I'm glad your doc is getting a handle on this. Keep us posted, OK?

I LIVE in the Sunshine State, and became deficient in vitamin D and Calcium. It's extremely hard to get in all your vitamins and minerals through food alone, and that goes for ALL WLS.
