This is it....
I am getting back on track. I had a baby 6 months ago and I still have 14 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and then an additional 30 pounds to lose to get to where I ideally want to be. I just got another fill on Thursday. I am doing the 5 day pouch test diet and I have decided enough is enough. My husband also agrees because it is either lose weight or buy new clothes. He really doesn't like the sound of buying new clothes.
Yesterday I purchased a new step-aerobics step on EBay and I am ready to get focused on getting back to exercising. It is freezing where I live so I am unable to exercise outside with my two children. I HATE exercising inside for some reason. When I exercise indoors I look around and see other things I need to do and quit exercising to do it. However, with the new baby and cold temps, exercising outside is out of the question right now. However, if I am going to lose this weight once and for all, I need to get over it and just exercise. I love step aerobics, so hopefully this will do the trick.
I have placed a chart counting down from 50 pounds to 1 pound on the wall in front of my scale in increments of ten. I mark out every pound I lose so I can see how much further I need to go. I hope this will help keep me focused and on track as well.
I hate seeing that 2 in front of my weight! Small, healthy portions and exercise HERE I COME!
That's the beauty about the band, it's there when you are ready to pick it up and work it.
I am 5 yrs. out. And if I am not mistaken, the pouch test is really for Rny patients. I don't know about the sleeve, or other procedures, but I have never heard that term being used in the band world. At least at the band support group meetings I have gone to I never heard it.
Your liquids following your FILL should be a good kick off. I am the same way about indoor work outs! I hate them!!!! But I live in Florida, so I get outside more often than not!
For more accountability, Start posting with "jean m. Daily food " post.
And I host a weekly "Commit to be Fit "post. We commit to so many minutes and then Friday turn in the actual time you did for the week. You determine what you can commit to.
Welcome back,
And good luck,

I hate seeing a 2 in front of my weight too! Good for you for take charging of your life and getting back on track! I think you did the right thing by purchasing aerobics equipment to jump start your weight loss, I purchased a treadmill that is sitting my bedroom, so no more excuses for me too when it gets cold! It's right there staring me in the face. Now I have a new band, treadmill and no excuses for not getting my weight back down.
Stay accountable and post more, I find the more people post on the band board the better they can stay on track, we need to hear those NSV again, struggles, and accomplishments like before.
I think what helps motivate me to exercise is to have my ipod with all my classic favorite hits to get me jumping and moving! And before I know it, an hour have gone by and I am sweating like crazy and then its not exercise it's fun! You can do it!
Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down
That's the way to do it, one pound at a time. I rode a stationary bike for a long time and had a map of my state on the wall and everyday I'd mark off my 10 miles. I made it almost all the way around the state until I broke my leg and that was the end of that trip! It's helpful to me too to have a visual to see how I'm doing.
Motivating yourself with your state map is a great idea! I love visuals like that.

I love step aerobics, too. Are you going to use a step aerobics video for your home workouts? If so, what's the name and who made it?
