What are you eating today (Saturday) or yesterday?
I missed this post yesterday because I overslept and was in the midst of an extended series of mishaps. Nothing awful, just aggravating and time-consuming. Anyway, I'm going to tell you what I actually ate yesterday in order to demonstrate why I'm such an advocate of advance planning. It was worsened by the fact that the morning shift at work had given a departing associate a farewell breakfast consisting of 100% evil food.
B: protein latte
S: I can't even remember
L: three bites of leftover meatloaf, a handful of Good & Plenty candies (yes, in spite of the fact that sugar makes me dump)
S: a sausage biscuit ball thing, 2 large bites of coffee cake (see above comment about dumping)
S: 2 more bites of coffeecake, another handful of Good & Plenty (by now you can see the trend, can't you?)
D: half of a cheese sandwich (apparently I'd forgotten how gummy bread gets once I've chewed it)
S: popcorn
At one point I actually thought to myself, "Well, the dumping's not so bad." Really?! Summary: high calorie, high fat, high sodium, high sugar, worthless food. But that was yesterday, and today I do have a plan:
B: protein latte
S: oatmeal w/ peanut butter & walnuts
S: Greek yogurt w/ walnuts & a few blueberries
L: the last of the leftover meatloaf, sugar snap peas (cooked)
S: trail mix
S: raw sugar snap peas
D: Buffalo chicken casserole, Brussels sprouts
S: almond, craisin & sesame seed snack mix
My exercise for today will involve cleaning up after unsupervised children, climbing ladders in the stock room, and other similar tasks.
Have a lovely day!
Jean

OMG Jean, your unplanned eating yesterday sounds just like me if I don't plan, except that I would have continued to hit those Good 'n Plentys constantly all day till they were gone, that way they wouldn't' tempt me today. Damn the dumping anyway. When I hit that point I will suffer through it and continue as above so it doesn't slow me down much if I am determined.
I have to revise yesterdays dinner to Mexican Pizza instead of meatloaf. We decided to go to our favorite hole in the wall restaurant. We haven't been there since right before my revision. It was good, the whole 3 bites I could eat. Love them to go boxes.
B. Choking down a Pure protein bar (not hungry)
S. Shake
L. More Mexican pizza probably 5 bites this time. At this rate I will have it finished by Thanksgiving.
S. Almonds and dried cranberries
S. Whole wheat, orange, cranberry, walnut, pumpkin muffin (if I can get it down)
D. The famed meatloaf and veggies
S. 1/2 slice of pumpkin/cream cheese pie
Exercise: Walk and more yard work
You'll have the pizza finished by Thanksgiving? Hey, no need to hurry. Make it your goal to fini**** by Christmas. Ho ho ho!
