I agree with several of the others that you are building up scar tissue and you are correct that it is very serious so please get an unfill either partial or total. I had the same issue and was banded the same year as you and 2 yrs. ago I started getting tighter. I was always able to eat meals didn't want my band too tight from the beginning. I had to get a couple of unfills in the last 2 yrs. then last year I got it totally unfilled and I still have restriction because of the scar tissue build up. My insurance doesn't cover bariatrics at all so I can only pray nothing happens until I can get on medicare in a few years. Please take this very seriously and just because the band looks properly positioned doesn't mean there is no scar tissue because that is UNDER the band.

How do they know if there is build up if the x-ray doesn't show it. I was able to eat  last night, half of a ham sandwich, took a couple of bites of my sons chopped beef and did okay with both. It is so darn bizarre. Wish I had more consistency.

I hit my sweet spot within the first year. I could eat small portions, whi*****luded soft pasta, mostly all protein except eggs/pork, soft rice, small amounts of bread, and almost all veggies. Over the years it has changed. I find myself rarely able to sit down and enjoy a meal with anyone, let alone myself. i grab bites here or there and most of the time it is junk. All protein even shakes are out the window. So I find, when the window, so to speak is open, I try to eat protein, protein, protein. just to get it in. Same with hydration. Within two hours last night I must have consumed, 1 gallon of water and at least 24 oz. of high protein skim milk.

Not sure what to expect when I get my band emptied tomorrow, NO RESTRICTION, or Partial restriction. I would like the opportunity to protein load before my surgery (helps with Healing).
