What are you eating today (Thursday) or yesterday?
The news that Allergan plans to sell off the Lap-Band is going to be a hot topic for months to come, but in the meantime we still have to move on with our lives and our eating, with or without the band. So here I am, once again posting the humdrum What Are You Eating thread.
In honor of Halloween, my store manager stocked the breakroom with a mountain of junk food and about six acres of cupcakes and candy. I was able to ignore the sweet stuff, but the salty stuff is another story, and all of it slider food. Ugh. When I got on the scale this morning, I fully expected to see an overnight weight gain from fluid retention, but that didn't happen. Yet.
I have today off, far far away from Wheat Thins, Tostitos, cheese puffs, and the lake of onion dip. My food plan is:
B: protein latte
S: scrambled egg beaters w/ cheese
S: coconut blueberry oat breakfast cookie
L: leftover chicken, fennel & celery stir-fry
S: almond, craisin & sesame seed snack mix
S: tomato salad
D: baked catfish, orange glazed sweet potato, mixed veggies
S: another breakfast cookie
This morning's class is Pilates/yoga. When I first started doing that class, I was prepared not to like it because it didn't seem like a big calorie burner. Now I love it because it keeps me limber. Which at my age is a big deal.
Have a lovely day!

Well now that the danger of losing power is minimal, I can go to the grocery store and replenish the dairy stocks that I didn't trust to keep around when the power was off. Yes, my friends are calling me paranoid for dumping anything dairy when the power wasn't out that long, but I am taking no chances.
B: protein shake
S: steel cut oatmeal
S: spiced cucumbers, rice crackers, and hummus
L: grilled chicken over romaine
S: yogurt
D: leftover sante fe soup
S: hot chocolate w/ fluff
As for exercise, my community center is STILL shut down, so I guess I'll walk around the neighborhood and pray I don't get killed by the jerks who drive 45 in a 30 mph residential zone.
I wouldn't take any chances with spoiled food either.
Hope things get back to normal (or close to it) in your area soon.

My food plan for today is pretty much what it was yesterday: not much. I came out with a horrible cold Tues. pm. and it has pretty much triggered my asthma. I am weak and achy so I just don't want much. I am trying to get my fluids in and not succeeding with that very well, either. I hope I can do better for the rest of the day. I only get one of these things about every 5 years so I am hoping it will pass quickly and leave me alone for another few years.
