What's your plan for Halloween?
Another big candy day is fast approaching. Do you have a plan for surviving it without a case of sugar shock? Are you going to wear a Halloween costume, and if so, what?
We live so far out in the country that we have never in 13 years had a single trick-or-treat visitor, and even if we did, the sight and sound of 9 dogs hurling themselves against the front door and windows would probably scare off even the hardiest kid. In my pre-op days, we would buy a few bags of candy "just in case" and of course ended up eating it all ourselves. And now that I dump when I eat anything sweet, it's easy for me to ignore the seasonal aisle at Wal-Mart.
At JCP, we dress up for Halloween. I had hoped I wouldn't be scheduled to work on Wednesday, but alas, I must. We're supposed to dress up as gnomes. The store manager is providing each of us with gnome hats, and the rest of the costume is up to each associate. I'm going to wear a long blue tunic, red leggings, a belt I made from felt, and Uggs style boots.

Your costume sounds great. I am not buying any Halloween candy for sure. I usually go to my friends house where she has a little party and lots of trick or treaters but she moved to Georgia. Sometimes I would meet my sister at my parents house in Daytona but my sister recently bought a house and is doing Halloween there. This year, I will have a few friends over. The one year I've been home since I bought this house I got one doorbell ring- which I ignored, I had my lights out. I just know if I buy candy I will end up eating it. I may get some change sorted out and give out some dimes and nickels if anyone shows up. Happy Halloween everybody!

No costume here -- I work from home and have no one to dress up for (unless I 'go' as a sleepwalker, because most days I work in my pj's).
Candy was bought last week -- and it is sitting in my living room waiting to be passed out tomorrow night.
I stopped eating candy about 3 1/2 years ago --- and it doesn't even tempt me anymore -- it is just 'not my food' anymore.
We will have 50 - 60 kids, probably --- and the leftovers will go to work with my husband, or it will be dumped into the last kid's bag when we are ready to close up the door and call it a night.

I have no plans for Halloween. My daughter is grown and out of the country. I have to work and there are no festivities there. I live in an apartment so I don't get any trick or treaters. So I will most likely work and then work out and come home and watch a horror movie while eating dinner.
As far as candy goes...I just don't go near it. If any thing I will have gum once in awhile. But I'm not going to open that flood gate and start eating candy...and believe me it's all over the place at work!!! The yummy stuff too!!!
