What are you eating today (Sunday) or yesterday?
Here's today's NW TN weather report: BRRRRRR.
We had way too much excitement at work last night. I noticed a gang of known shoplifters in the juniors department and made a coded PA announcement to summon my coworkers to help to keep an eye on them. The supervisor called the police and when the cop walked towards the gang leader, the look on that woman's face was absolutely priceless. They ended up having to pay for their haul ($390) while the cop studied our selection of boots nearby, but we have a feeling they walked out with some freebies because the child they brought with them looked like she had stuffed a lot of merchandise into her oversized jeans. Using a child in retail crime makes me so angry I could spit.
I don't have to work again until Wednesday night, thank the Lord. Tomorrow morning I'm having an EGD done to see if my gastric bleed and anemia are being caused by ulcers or anything else strange (space aliens?), and sometime soon I'll get started on making this year's Christmas cards. In between letting the dogs in and out, in and out, in and out.
Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: coconut blueberry oat breakfast cookie
S: scrambled egg beaters w/ cheese
L: leftover Mexican pizza
S: almond, craisin & sesame snack mix
S: raw fennel
D: chicken & onion tagine (tagine is a Moroccan style stew), barley, celery & fennel stir-fry
S: peanut butter banana bar
Today's exercise will consist of the dog-herding mentioned above. And maybe some house cleaning.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
Jean

I am having a lazy day. I missed church by sleeping late, My back hurts like crazy, and I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Most of it mentally because of worrying about finances. As for eating, I am cutting way back on anything with sugar and doing better.
Today;
B. 1/2 egg
1/3 sausage patty
S. 1/2 serving almonds
L. Shake
S. Rest of the almonds
S. protein cappuccino
D. Turkey, 2 tbsp. mashed potatoes and 1 tbsp. gravy, with green beans
S. 2 wasa crackers (whole grain) and hummus
Enjoy your time off.
Sorry to hear about your aching back. I'm pretty sure God will forgive you for sleeping late today.
I too have been doing a lot better by avoiding sugar as much as possible. My surgeon says that dumping often eases up over time, but I guess it's not my time yet. Yesterday when I got to work, I found a plate of mini cupcakes (with orange and green frosting, for Halloween, I guess) in the break room. I thought, "Such a tiny thing won't hurt," ate about 2/3 of a cupcake, felt fine, and went out to take on the world on the sales floor. Ten minutes later, I was unpleasantly reminded of that danged little cupcake.
