Do you ever ask, "How do I look?"

I ask my husband when I'm trying on cloths for a cruise.  He is honest to a fault and make sure I don't go off with anything too aweful looking.  Otherwise, NO WAY

I do ask my husband but it is usually more of a "Does this look ok?" He gives me honest responses, usually. I also use him to help decide if one pair of shoes or earrings look better with what I have on than another. I have used the kids when they were home, and neighbors in an emergency Though  I only use the ones I am close with. As for how I look I don't ask. I have gotten comfortable with compliments, finally.

Last night I attended my 6th grade grandsons' band concert and when his other grandparents came in I stood and waved them to seats next to me but they walked on past. After the concert I waited until they came out and spoke to them. Grandma B. nearly collapsed! She absolutely didn't recognise me since I have lost more weight. She kept saying I "Look beautiful". I sure wouldn't go that far! I looked good and was comfortable with that.

LOL Granny, same here.  My hubby calls it my nightly "fashion show" when I get my clothes ready for work the night before.  He is always honest with me...even if he knows I won't like the answer.   I know for a fact that anything flowered, he will veto LOL.  THat's because in my "fat years" , 80% of my clothing was in a floral pattern!  I didnt' realize it until he pointed it out after one shopping trip.
Why do designers think that big women want FLOWERS on everything??

The only time I ask about how I look is when I am clothes shopping with someone.  I deffinately want their opinion on how it looks/fits so I can decide whether to buy it.  I rarely shop alone.  As far as compliments about my weightloss, I really enjoy them to a point.  When I feel like it's gone a bit overboard (gushing) I get somewhat uncomfortable.  My usual responses to compliments are either- thanks for noticing or thanks, I've been working hard.

 My hubby always says i look good. And he says i don't need make up!!
My son i don't ask but when he finds pix he keeps saying i don't remember you looking like that even tho the pix show you were that size and i was there.
Other people gve compliments but I don't see it.
