Dilitation
Actually my doc says this is all fixable, no worries. Takes a few weeks for it to go back to normal and then we'll start putting fill back in. She gave me some new rules to follow and all is going good, except that I'm hungry more often. I still have 45 pounds to get to the goal I am striving for and I don't like set back. I've come too far.
Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Good! Just weigh and measure your foods. Now without a fill you could probably use the volumetrics approach for hunger. WW "filling foods". If you google you could probably get a list. Jenny C. uses this too. Filling foods are usually fiberous. Protein keeps us satiated as well and keeps bloods levels and such balanced.

here is a printable list of "power foods" formerly called "filling foods" a WW. You can also look up Volumetrics or foods that keep you full longer.

I've never had esophagus dilation, but I had a pouch dilation over 6 years ago, and my surgeon removed all saline from the band for 6 weeks and then slowly started to refill my band again, I think you have to be more cautious and careful after any type of dilation to make sure it heals and does not happen again.
Honestly...it took me about 6 months before I was back to full restriciton because my surgeon was cautious and did not want to risk problems with big fills and apparently that worked because I've never had pouch dilation again and it probably saved my band.
You were banded a few years ago...do you have the older 4cc or VG band?

Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down

Ahh...another 4cc band, you never really hear any complaints with the older 4cc bands like you do with the newer AP bands...restriction with the 4cc bands are awesome...almost addicting...haha.....
There are MANY old timers with the 4cc bands....that really never have much problems with them, I don't know why they stopped making them....my surgeon mentioned that they were more prone to erosions...but so far so good with me regarding erosion..not sure what the future will hold tho....but if I can I would like to hold on to my 4cc band as long as I can.
Edited to add: I never exercise hard core with my band until I had lost about 80 pounds, I just took a brief walk daily and I never had to diet with it..just ate small amounts and lost weight...I guess I've been spoiled ...lol
