Hi everyone,
Ok so I'm still on the bandster hell with my fills.  I had my surgery August 9th, I've since had 3 fills for the first couple of days i feel full less hungry then after that I am famoushed i want to eat everything in site.  And I can eat anything without issue I've gained 5 pounds since my surgery lost nothing I don't know what to do I'm at a loss here.  Please I'm looking for any adivce I go for another fill tomorrow.  Also my surgeon is and hour and a half from me it makes it hard with work and everything to get myself there I've made every appointment but this is so discouraging.  I so wanT to loose weight but it's not happening.

Has anyone else ever experienced weight gain and then finally lost weight I'm so scared I'm going to gain more weight which doesn't help me with the stress eating either.  Please looking for help here

Hi Mercedes,

First of all take a deep breath. Yes, you are in bandster hell and it is not a fun place to be. We know about it when we take on this journey but can never anticipate how bad it can really be. I have seen a lot of people in your spot.

I have just a few suggestions. You can try talking to your nut for some suggestions. I can email mine if I wish. Are you eating very dense protein? Every bite that goes in should be dense protein, veggies, or fruit if there is room. Soups are yummy but won't help much right now. Weigh and measure everything if you are not and log it. Schedule protein snacks if you need them. You probably need them at this point. I could never go too long between meals/snacks. You can allow treats like sf/ff pudding or something similar.

There is an old saying around here "Just because you can eat more doesn't mean you should eat more". In your case you may have to allow a bit more meat and veggies at meal time just to carry you through but try to stay at no more than 1200 calories. You might try keeping your carbs down if you can. Keep up with your exercise because this is not the time to falter.

See how it goes and let us know. Hang in there, my friend.

Thank you for the words of advice I'm so confused I know that just because my body wants more doesn't mean or should put more in but I don't know how to stop the hunger.  I'm trying the proteins but i'm still hungry .
I'm looking online for the best dense proteins for me I will give that a try Thank you again I just feel so alone in this journey

I understand that taking time off to see your surgeon is difficult, but she/he and her/his staff are the best resources you have. The band doesn't work all by itself. It's a team effort - you, your band, your surgeon & dietitian.
