I think WE ALL need each other more than you think. Regardless whether we are revising or keeping our lap bands, most of us have an experience with the band whether good or bad.
We will all be lap banders at heart even if we have to part with this fantastic or wicked tool, depending on your individual experiences.
I think lap band revisioners probably feel alone, you made lap band friends, you shared nsv, updated your profile, bragged and cried together, this was your base, this is why you can't leave your home the lap band forum.
I think this forum would be REALLY GREAT if all the revisioners and those with a band came here with ONE GOAL and that was to offer support, and respect each other and to stay on track with our weight loss goal efforts, because in the end we are here ONLY FOR ONE PURPOSE and that is the fight against obesity REGARDLESS of which tool we decide is best for us. Think about it.
That's all.

Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down
We absolutely can, we just need to remember to allow all members to share experiences, good and bad, and refrain from name calling, labeling and blaming. I believed that I would be successful losing with my band, and I have been, and that I would ensure the longetivity of my band by following band rules. Today I know that my band may have to be removed due to no fault of my own. I refuse to take ownership of the devices unknown long term complications, since there were few complications reported at the time I made my decision. Back then it was thought that if the band failed, the Bandster caused it...we know better now. This is an open forum, whether a member has a band, had a band, or never had a band. I presume we are all adults, though often I wonder, and we can handle the opinions of others without losing our minds....
I can live with this post/attitude!
Even though I am unbanded, I still have my band. It's in a container by my fridge. I am using it for inspiration while waiting to see if I get a conversion.
I have had a band and I feel I can help those looking at WLS and those already with band and having issues. The been there done that, thing.

Naomi,
You and I have a complicated past, full of conflict, and I'm very happy that we're getting along well now. If we can do that, surely anyone can.

Nana is coming forward and sharing her experiences with all of us here on the lap band forum, and your unwanted comments are not contributing anything positive to this forum. STFU or GTFO you're not helping.
