My friends and I repeatedly share our personal experiences here on this forum as well as other forums, because we want to offer the cons while successful bandsters offer the pros for LAGB surgeries. This is just one way a lurker/pre-op can truly make an informed decision.
Even though I AM ANTI BAND, I have made friends with several supportive, successful and loving bandsters who accept me and support my right to post my personal experiences on this ,

Now that's the Lisa I remember long time ago....and that's OK to be anti-band, it's hurt many people in various ways, many have lost a lot of money dealing with issues with the band, I CAN understand their frustration and hatred for the band.
But on the other token, it's saved many lives and many people do pretty good with the band, we ALL wanted to do good with the band, but things happen, it's hard for some people to adapt to eating with the band, the band can be a very evil peice of contraption if not installed properly or if it slips. No one wishes those experiences on no one. But it's really NOT fair to those who are not having problems to be soaked up in band bashing. I am a fair person in real life and on the boards.

Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down
