Great post Rai! You know I've seen it all on these boards in the 7 years I've been posting, in fact I've seen MANY that revised to the Sleeve and did not lose 1 pound, NOT ONE! they bashed the band before their revision and did not do any better with the Sleeve. I've also seen MANY that revised to RNY and complained about their complicaitions with the band and had WORSE problems with their bypass.
It's truly a shame that people can't post here about their lap band problems without fear of every small problem means that the band is crap and you need a revision. EVERY single problem with the band does not NEED revising. Some people DO NOT WANT A REVISION surgery, some people just want to fix the probem with their band. If you have complications with the Sleeve or RNY you get medical treatment to fix the problem, why can't people get medical treatment WITH their bands without a revision.
When I got my band install I knew the risks, it's a shame that people only try to be SNARKY instead of supportive of each other, to me, it sounds like the people are more bitter than being honest, If I have to get my band removed due to complications, I will deal with it and move on and not constanly gripe about it. IF I want another weight loss intervention I will get one and deal with those risks as well.

Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down

Pony up your proof that you have seen all these people that never lost a pound after any revision surgery. You make these claims but never offer examples of all these people you know.
Stephanie, your experience is yours. Naomi's experience is hers. My experience is mine, and mine alone. Even if a person doesn't suffer from hypochondria if you drop enough seeds, something will grow. If I feed of the band bashing everytime I blupped I'd thing 'OMG my band is killing me!' I appreciate that everyone shares their ups and downs. But really, the 'well it didn't work well for me. told ya so' approach is right up there with school yard bullying.
