FRIDAY GRATEFUL POST
Good Morning Everyone,
Well the day has finally arrived that everyone has been looking forward to since monday. LOL We all have so very much to be grateful in our lives and friday is just one little part of that. Today I am grateful for my life and health. I answered a post on OH earlier and it made me think about MY life before WLS. My health wasn't all that bad for a really fat girl. I had NO high blood pressure, or diabetes like so many of you. I didn't take lots of medicines ( In fact I didn't take any meds at all ). The only thing I had was a BMI of 50, asthma and being borderline diabetic. I guess God was really good to me. One thing I did have was constant pain in my hip and back due to carrying all the excess weight on my 5'1" frame. I had shortness of breath when I did very much moving around and I truly just existed and not really lived my life. My poor 3 sons grew up with a Mom who did nothing but sit on the couch. Thank God for my WLS and for the last 7 yrs. since my WLS. Thank God that I am healthy and will be able to run after my granddaughter when she is walking and hopefully live a very long and healthy life. I am SO grateful for my post op life after my WLS. and the future that I now have. PLEASE share if you will what you are grateful for today. Have a amazing weekend.

Hello! I have been reading your posts on here a lot the past few days. You are very inspirational. I am considering the band very soon. I went to my first seminar last night and loved it, I learned a lot, good bad and ugly. I still want to hear more from people who have had it. I have my consultation next week and the end of the month my psych and nutrition eval. I have Aetna and they seem to be annoying when it comes to WLS. The doctors facility said they will fight to get what they want for me, they are so nice and I have only met them once and talked to them twice. Your posts are inspirational to me and I congradulate you on your success!
I went for my first physical today in about 4 or 5 years, most times i go to the dr when i am just sick. I have NO high blood pressure, no diabetes, I do have a slight lymphedema in my left foot. the doctors are also putting that problem to my insurance company. both my parents have diabetes, HBP, high cholesterol and my dad has CHF. I have to get blood work done also, but last time I had nothing wrong. hoping it is still the same, and hoping they approve my surgery. I am SO scared yet so excited.

Good Luck with your insurance approval. I know we had Aetna when I was approved for my WLS almost 7 yrs. ago but my husbands employeer had that written into their plan. You may want to check ( if you haven't already and see if that is a covered benefit ) on your insurance coverage. I know we were not out of pocket one red cent for my WL surgery. Good luck to you.
