It's taken me 8 weeks but I've lost 7 lbs!!!

For the last 8 weeks I've been walking 2 1/2 miles 5 days a week and I've been watching my carbs and I've lost 7 lbs.  I wi**** was more, but I'm glad I'm slowly loosing some weight.  I weigh 173 and I am hoping by Christmas I will weigh 160 or less.  Any words of encouragement would be appreciated...

depending the on the type of surgery you've had, 1-2 pounds a week is optimal for lapband (or so my surgeon tells me). the point is no matter how slowly you lose it, you're still losing, not gaining. so you're doing great. 15 pounds in three months is completely doable. also remember, with all the walking you're developing some serious calf muscles; muscle weighs more than fat, even as you get into bette shape.

 It sounds like you are doing great!!!!!!

Being close to goal, losing more than 1/2 pound a week is a great accomplishment.
