The good and bad

why don't you go to the sleeve forum and voice some of the issues that you are having
 - they are very helpful.  Unfortunately besides people I know of  who have experienced a leak, you are having the most negative experience being sleeved.  Sorry about that!  I wonder if it is due to your investment into the band?  what I've noticed about your diet is that you progressed rapidly to a  variety of foods.  High sugar/simple sugars should be in your diet.  Greek yogurt, lite yogurt should not produce lactose issues because of the enzymes

Zee,

If everyone on the sleeve forum were as considerate and helpful as you are, I'd go there for support. But the last time I posted there (this past spring), I got trashed, so I'm having some trust issues at the moment.

Of course I can't help comparing my sleeve to my band, in which I was naturally highly invested. The sleeve was my 2nd choice. I can't go backward and erase all my band memories. Before my revision, I was quite looking forward to having a WLS tool that didn't need adjustment (as in fills) and would keep hunger at bay. I'm sure some other OH members would tell me that karma is biting me in the butt.

As far as my post-op diet progression, yes, I advanced very quickly, but that was on my surgeon's instruction. When I saw the dietitian last week she also said I'd advanced too quickly. I said, "Well, you and Dr. Weaver need to get on the same page," but of course she didn't respond to that.

Greek yogurt caused one of my worst dumping episodes, though that could be because of the fruit I ate with it (fresh cherries). I'll try it again in a few weeks on a day off (because dumping at work is even worse than dumping at home).

Weight wise, I lost about halfway to goal, and maintained it. Surgery was 8 years ago. My life is so different. I barely remember the old me. That person had back pain, was always exhausted, had heartburn all the time, and hated to go shopping. Today, no back pain, no heartburn, lots of energy, love to shop and have more clothes than I can wear. And I believe the rest of the weight will come off, as crazy as that might sound. I have to be careful how I eat, esp at social gatherings or I will get pain or throw up. Sometimes it is hard to balence life and food bc of eating slower than most people. Best 16,000 I ever spent, on me. No regrets.
