Band over Bypass Experiences
Hello I am in the process of seeking a revision. I had the RNY in 200 and I lost 130# over the years I have regained 60#. I spoke to a surgeon that recommended having my RNY revised. I haave been doing some research on this site and a few other and I am really encouraged by the results people are having with BOB. I know that what I need is restriction to help me with my constant hunger. I went through a very difficult period two years ago and I dropped 40# simply becasue I was too stressed to eat. Retrictive diets still work for me however my constant hunger has me struggling just as I did before my RNY. I would really appreiciate hearing from people who have had a BOB to see what your post op weightloss has been like.
Tyler, read my profile, then email me with questions. Not as good about blogging this time around like I did with RNY in 2002, but, have put a lot out there. Email me after you read with any additonal quesitons.

After 7 years of maintaining a 122lb weight loss I too started gaining back. I gained about fifty pounds before I realized that I was once again out of control. I had BOB put in 21/2 years ago. I have lost ninety pounds. That is forty less than my all time low bypass weight. I have maintained my 90 pound loss give or take 2 or 3 pounds for two years. I am so thankful to have been given this second chance. I do work my band though....it is not a cake walk any longer. I walk 4-5 miles daily. This allows me to maintain my weight and not worry if I just had to have that cookie, candy bar etc.... I feel like I can now eat like a normal person...OK... a normal person that eats only when hungry....LOL
Thank you both for responding. HYour stories are very inspiring!!! I am going to my initial consult for my revision today. I am so excited. I have been doing so much research and I feel confident that the BOB is the best options for me. Not to mention the fact that I have a six year old son so I would prefer not be down for too long after the procedure.
