I have not been on in a long time.  I do miss seeing everyones posts.  I will be four years out October 17.  I am gaining weight and don't like it.  Cant seem to get my eating habits back in check. I need someone to be accountable to, i need support.  I need a day to day diet to go by.  I am eating to much and having heart burn and I hate it!!  Can someone offer assistance, please.

It's hard to get back on track once you get off track.

All I can say is you just have to bite the bullet and just do it .   Post in the Daily thread that Jean has started what are you eating today that helps me out

I log every bite I take on my fitness pal. I use my Iphone and just scan the bar code in and put in how much I ate and I am done . that really helps me. I log everything from a snacking on a handful of peanuts to eating candy .

Like I said you just have to bite the bullet and just do it .  I started to get myself back on track this week and with my Zumba again and down 9 pounds since Monday.

You can see what I am eating today  on What Are You Eating Today thread.

Do you need a fill our are you good and you are just not following the good eating habits ?

Thank you for responding.  I am not following the good eating habits.  I also called my doctor and I have an appointment next week just to go over everything.  wish I had someone to fix my food everyday for me.

My husband had a heart attack and was home for three months this year, my baby girl went off to college.  I am a stress eater!!!

So sorry to hear about your husband . Im not to much of a stress eater but my hubby works alot away from home and night time snacking can kill my diet if I don****ch it *sigh*. I eat just cause Im bored or lonely.

I have noticed the further I get away from surgery date the harder it is to stay on track like I use to and to be as strict like I use to be.

It use to be if I fixed my family spaghetti I would fix me a chicken breast with veggies now I am eating the spaghetti little things like that , that is keeping me from losing like I was .

Like this week I have really focused on the proteins and only carbs I ate was from fresh fruit or veggies and that was it and I saw a huge drop on the scale this week.

Just take one day at a time and go from there , that is all we can do .

I am glad you called your doctor because with the reflux, there could be other problems in addition to just not eating right. I wish I had someone to fix my food everyday and that is all I get.  I was on vacation for three weeks in a similar situation and I actually lost 1 or 2 pounds.  Back home, I am eating too much again.

Find a support group and attend every meeting, join a gym and go, or get a walking buddy.  Anything that gets you moving will also help your eating.  Get busy and stay out of the house or other places of food.

Good luck,  I am about 18 months and only lost 40 of the 80 I had hoped to loose.  My doctor says he is happy though.

It is hard to get back on track. I'm 7 years out and have found weighing myself daily is the way to go. I keep the scale in my walk in closet so every morning when I go in the closet, it looks up at me. It even says step on when I tap it .  Some days I like the number, some days I don't, but it gets me focused for the day. I think keep adding little behaviors, like a healthier snack in the afternoon or a protein shake instead of dessert. Sometimes all at once is so hard. You could also consider WW if you like a plan.

It has helped so much ready posts.  Talking to fellow banders new and seasoned.  Getting back on track is one step at a time.  I got on the scale for the first time in months.  I have gained 18 lbs.  I can do this!  Got back to my water.  Watching my portions.  Feeling so much better about myself already.  So glad that each day is a new day!  Hang in there!  I am
