Wow Jean, I am sorry you are hungry - as long as I was able even loose restriction with the band my hunger quieted immensely and now thank God with my stomach sleeved I do not get hungry at all.  I think I would pass out before I get hungry.  Unfortunately I love to eat and so I still struggle.  It gets better and better with the sleeve though - PROMISE!.  Early out, it was just about getting everything I needed, survival.  I am surprised that you are eating nuts this early too!  I was a real scaredy cat about my staple line.

B 4oz of 1% cottage cheese
6oz of skim - with my coffees
    1 large banana

L Grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinegar
S  6oz 1% Fage Greek Yogurt

D 1/5 cup brown rice, 1/5 cup of black beans grilled chicken, sour cream & guacamole

S Red Mango frozen yogurt parfait -yummy!!! - strawberries, blueberries, bananas,  flax/pumpkin seed granola

Glad you are well and making it through hun!  Please keep posting this - there is something that feels bonding about LB to Sleeve ppl

Another sleever told me that my staple line should be healed by now. I'm hoping that 4-5 almonds, chewed very well, won't pose a problem.

And speaking of popcorn, what about the husks from that? At work, my department is just around the corner from the break room, and every time someone pops a bag of popcorn, the smell is torture!

I am sure the almonds are fine!  I was just terrified about the whole process.  Oh popcorn, gotta love it!  It is a staple in my diet as I love to keep my big ole mouth chomping  .  I waited a bit on that while I kept posting the same question "when can I eat popcorn again"?

On the popcorn I'd recommend an air popper - it comes out so tender and it is naked.  I use the no caloried butter sprays and sometimes the low sodium/calorie free/low flavorings like cheddar - Yum!!!

Soon on the popcorn J!

My surgeon doesn't talk in terms of post-op phases, and no foods are off-limits as long as I emphasize protein. I'm not saying that's right, just that I wasn't given detailed instructions. I don't know the numbers, but from what I've seen at support group meetings, nutrition classes, and in the waiting room, most of the patients at that clinic are RNY, some are band, and very, very few are sleeve patients.

That is how ours is.  Some times I would be the only bander to show up.  Usually me and another woman that they really messed up.  Back than,
all the rest where RNY.
They had a seperate support group for us bander for a while but,
they dis-banded it.

oh my gosh that looks yummy Jean !!!   I see myself taking a trip to the store today , that might help my sweet cravings I am having right now .

I love eating my chicken that way Jean. I saute it in a little bit of FF Italian dressing cook the chicken up put my mushrooms on top of the cheese and presto its done . I have also added green peppers to when I have them.

I eat that meal probably four times a week for lunch lol.

Today I'm sick (cold) so eating whatever sounds good:

B:2 poached eggs with a tiny mashed potato patty fried up in a little butter (my mom made this when I was little...
L: my own homemade chicken soup with pastina....probably eat it a couple of times.  It is made from roasted chicken, ground veggies (whatever I have in the fridge) and a bit of pastina (tiny stars).
D: depending on my appetite, more soup or some chicken bake (boneless, skinless thighs, red bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, olive oil and white wine, baked 350 45 min) + roasted cauliflower, broccoli, yams, Brussels sprouts.
S: might make up a batch of protein pudding and have one to ensure I get my 60gr in

We are on vacation in Munich, Germany.

At the huge breakfast buffet, I got a veggie and cheese omelette and ate about 1/2 of it.
I ate one small breakfast sausage with it and a few cubes of melon

Took a 90 minute walk while my husband visited the BMW museum.

We drove over to visit the Concentration camp/museum in Dachau ... And I could feel my band tighten as we went through the exhibits.  It is so emotional and such a solemn place.

Afterwards, I had 2 bites of hubby's cheeseburger.

Now, back at the hotel and we have free evening reception/dinner and drinks due to my Marriott gold status....so not sure what dinner will be .. But there will be wine.

We have walked 23 miles in 3 days

Tomorrow, we leave Munich and head west to Stuttgart.

The last time I was in Germany (Frankfurt), I think all I ate was pretzel bread!
