Today is the 5th anniversary of my Lap-Band surgery. Despite the medical misfortunes that have befallen me since then, I would still do it all over again, even knowing what I know now. My band made it possible for me lose 90 lbs, and to believe that I can succeed at weight loss and at weight & health management.

Here's a before & after comparison:

Congratulations, Jean.

On my fourth surgiversary, I revised from band to sleeve.  So my surgiversary remains the same.

Lisa, that is so cool!  My Surgiversary is changing, but I will always be a Bandster at heart!

Lost 271lbs with my LapBand in 22 months!  My Band malfunctioned and I gained almost 42lbs and then revised to the Sleeve 9/24/12!  I lost another 140 lbs with my Sleeve!  Loved the LapBand and Lovin' The Sleeve!

You look great! What did you revise to? I can't remember.
I am a little over a year out and down 85 pounds, if anything went wrong I think I would go for the sleeve.

I revised to the sleeve. I'm not loving it so far, but it's early days yet.

I'll jump in for her, she had the sleeve. To Jean congrats!! While we differ on our love of the band I'm glad we can agree to disagree and still be friends!

Let's hope we're setting a good example for others as we continue to agree to disagree!
