I am throwing my hands up!

I need support.  I do not know what to do.  I have 3 fills since my pregnancy and have decent restriction.  I am following my eating plan and eating no more than 1 cup of food at each meal(3x a day).  I lost eight pounds and boom I am back up to where I started again.  I have great support from my surgeon's office and talked to the nutritionist.  I am eating what she is telling me, but still no weight loss.  What gives?????  I HATE the puzzling path of weight loss.  I just want to cry because this isn't working this time around.  It was working like a miracle before pregnancy.  I would eat my three meals a day of lean protein, and invariably lose 2-3 pounds a week while exercising.  I am doing the same thing and nothing now!  My baby is 4 months old and I cannot lose anything without gaining it back.  What should I do?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As stupid as it sounds, is it possible that you are not getting in ENOUGH calories??

Bette is right, sometimes our bodies like to hang on to the calories because of the old fear of starvation. Try adding 250 calories per day, preferably of dense protein, for a week or two and see what happens. My nut told me about this and it seemed to work. I also have to cut carbs way back. Another thing, if you use the same exercise routine try switching that out for a bit, too. If you do cardio try weights for a while, etc. This is another stall breaking trick.

Good luck, Sue

It also sometimes takes a different fill amount after you have been empty. Also if you are nursing you'll need more calories. Like Granny said stick with dense protein and low carbs.

I have been stuck for a month plus now. The last two weeks I've been journaling my food and set a target for number of carbs. It's helped because I've lost over two pounds in the past two weeks.

I agree with the journaling.  I too can only lose doing the dense high
protien and a very low carbs.  Any time I get above 35 carbs a day I
don't lose or start to gain.

Are you nursing?

Your hormones might not be back to where they were pre pregnancy. Be patient with yourself.
